Advocates are specially trained individuals in disability law. While they are not lawyers, one of their chief responsibilities is to stay current with the regulations that affect children in an educational setting. An Advocate's role is to represent the student and parents in any meetings with school administrators.

SUPPORT SYSTEM

I'm here to help you navigate the educational system. I support parents with Special Education laws and help them to understand their rights.

FILE & RECORDS REVIEW

I conduct an expert review of your files and records in order to have a clear understanding of your child's circumstances and needs.

DECIPHER TEST RESULTS

It can be overwhelming trying to understand your test results. School psychologists, special education teachers, and other related services professionals have gone to school for many years to understand interpret results. I can help you interpret these results.

IEP MEETINGS

Going into a room full of people and talking to them about your child can be overwhelming and emotionally draining. You want someone who can objectively tell you what is going on and give you advice and support. I will attend IEP meetings with you to help develop your 504 plans and IEP plans.

For far too long, students with disabilities have been left behind.
